My Home Away From Home

These next 16 pieces are my High School Portfolio that I collected after Two years in Fine art with Mrs. Kane.
There not that great, but hey they got me to where I am now CCAD, my art school.

This piece is also special to me in a similar way. This was the art room I practically lived in High School. Senior year I hardly ever left it. Then that's the art room office, office to four great teachers, Wolski, Tonti, Sawchik and especially the Kane. I miss them. Then on the other side is the other art room half, photo and ceramics side. In the doorway is none other than Wolski herself standing in her signature pose. I did this painting class with Sawchik.

The Procrastinating Maverick

She looks up at the clock a bit confused.
The time it reads leaves her somewhat amused.
Working for hours nonstop with no break.
Hands and fingers beginning to ache.
She sketches and paints long into the night.
Hoping she may finish before daylight.
She reaches her goal and heads to her bed.
Eyes close, but then alarmed to lift her head.
Her dreams held off until another night.
Sleepless, she struggles with all her might
to ready herself. Off she goes to school.
She walks in breaking every single rule.
Or at least the dress code that her peers have set.
She receives stares from those she has not met.
Carrying way too much and clothes a mess
with paint and smudges, but she could care less.
She blocks out their whispers and strange looks.
When they speak, she tells them to go hit their books.
She reaches the room of creating art,
Greeted by those who all share the same heart.
